Coronation Street's Clayton Hibbs reappeared tonight (May 27) as his mum Shona Ramsey visited him in prison.
Shona is still suffering from memory loss after the incident on Christmas Day, and went to see him to try and piece her memories back together. She said she doesn't remember him beyond being a young teenager, and that she must have been a terrible mum for him to end up in prison and she would make it up to him.
He took advantage of the situation by telling Shona that David never treated her properly and was abusive towards her. When Shona's key worker told him to stop lying, Clayton bit back, which caused a confused and upset Shona to leave.

Elsewhere in the episode, David Platt got cornered and beaten up by the gang of thugs until the police turned up. Craig Tinker told him that he could have died and he's not as in control as he thinks he is.
Sarah later heard about the attack and went to see Shona, putting the record straight about her relationship, David's experience at the hands of Josh Tucker, and then asking her to come home to David because he needs her.
