Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street airs another single-storyline episode tonight (May 4) focusing on the Yasmeen and Geoff Metcalfe coercive control plot.

Monday's visit to the cobbles will remain focused solely on Yasmeen's storyline after she was pushed to breaking point by her abusive husband.

Last week, viewers saw Yasmeen hit Geoff over the head with a wine bottle, then use the broken bottle to stab him in the neck.

A fearful Yasmeen was acting in self-defence after Geoff continued to terrorise her in her own home with his relentless abuse.

Friday's episode and tonight's follow-up were originally plotted as a double bill, set to air on the same night. However, with episodes being rationed by ITV at the moment, fans have had to wait over the weekend to see the aftermath.

This evening's edition picks up exactly where Friday's cliffhanger left off, as Yasmeen calls 999 and announces that she has killed her husband.

Back in the pub, Peter Barlow, Carla Connor, Brian Packham, Cathy Matthews and Eileen Grimshaw all gossip about the couple's hurried departure earlier on.

Soon afterwards, everyone is drawn outside by the sound of sirens, as an ambulance and two police cars arrive outside Number 6.

Geoff's son Tim is particularly worried and rushes over, but a police officer blocks his way. As the paramedics tend to Geoff inside, can his condition be stabilised?

Meanwhile, Yasmeen is taken to the police station for questioning and is relieved to see Imran Habeeb waiting for her, ready to take on her case after being tipped off by Ryan Connor.

Police also keep a presence on the cobbles, quizzing the regulars at The Rovers about Geoff and Yasmeen's relationship. What will they share and where will everyone's loyalties lie?
