Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street has confirmed that Yasmeen Metcalfe will face criminal charges over her upcoming showdown with evil Geoff.

The show has revealed that Yasmeen lashes out at Geoff with a wine bottle later this week, acting in self-defence after he continues to terrorise her at home.

As Yasmeen accidentally slashes Geoff's neck with the broken bottle, he slumps to the floor in a weakened state. Yasmeen then calls the emergency services, telling them that she thinks she has killed her husband.

New spoilers on Coronation Street's official website have now revealed that Yasmeen is taken down to the police station in the aftermath of the incident.
