Coronation Street has kicked off the New Year with a cheating storyline for Tracy Barlow, and tonight's hour-long episode confirmed just whose bed Tracy ended up in last night.
Following last night's New Year's Eve episode, which saw Tracy (Kate Ford) row with husband Steve (Simon Gregson) before storming out to the Rovers, tonight's (January 1) trip to the cobbles saw Tracy waking up with a hangover – and the dawning realisation that she had cheated on Steve.
And yes, the rumours were also proved true as it was soon confirmed that Tracy had woken up in none other than Paula Martin's (Stirling Gallacher) bed.
Although Tracy was hoping to cover her tracks by sneaking back into the Street Cars' flat later on, she was soon caught out by daughter Amy (Elle Mulvaney) who spotted the very expensive designer jacket that Tracy had picked up by mistake, prompting Tracy to try and cover her tracks.
Later, however, while returning the jacket to Paula in the Rovers, Tracy asked Paula not to mention their night of passion to anyone and an offended Paula marched out of the pub with Tracy hot on her heels as the duo took their row into the street.
And, this being Soapland, it didn't take long before Amy saw the arguing couple and recognised Paula's jacket as the one her mum had brought home earlier. Putting two and two together, Amy quickly made the connection between the pair and furiously told Tracy that she had to tell Steve the truth.

Instead, Tracy ended up begging her daughter to keep her secret and later spun Steve a lie about the tension between mother and daughter too, prompting a disgusted Amy to storm off and announce her plans to live with Emma instead.
Of course, future spoilers have shown it won't be long before Steve does find out about his wife's one-night stand, and things only get worse when Steve learns that it was Paula who Tracy slept with too.
Will the couple's relationship be able to survive this?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
