Coronation Street has revealed that the Platt family will find themselves in the middle of a shooting during the show's Christmas special.
The ITV soap has recently confirmed a siege over the festive period as Derek Milligan (Craige Els) aggressively enters the Rovers Return on Christmas pointing a gun at Gary Windass (Mikey North) after their recent feud.
Unaware, Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) collects the keys to the Winter Wonderland from Michael as the Platt family hides presents for David's treasure hunt.

But soon, the Platts are in the middle of a shoot out as David (Jack P Shepherd) tries to protect his fiancée Shona.
Meanwhile, Sarah (Tina O'Brien) has only one desire – to protect her children Bethany and Harry at all cost.

During the dramatic event, Adam unexpectedly proposes to Sarah, saying that if they get out of the siege safely he wants to marry her.

While it'll be next year when we get to see how Adam and Sarah's storyline unfolds, Coronation Street has previously confirmed that one character is set to lose their life in the Christmas Day drama.
