Coronation Street's Ali Neeson and Gary Windass have a showdown next week as they clash over Maria Connor.
The two men are about to become love rivals, as Ali (James Burrows) isn't pleased to see Maria moving on with Gary after their recent split.
New spoilers on Coronation Street's official website have revealed that Gary (Mikey North) makes the first move in a new feud with Ali, recruiting a private investigator to dig up dirt on him.
Gary resorts to drastic measures as he wants to make sure that there's no chance of Maria (Samia Longchambon) getting back together with Ali.

This move pays off when Gary's PI reveals that Ali has been behaving strangely at work and missing shifts. He also suggests a possible link between Ali and a hospital pharmacist, who was arrested for illegally supplying drugs.

Gary then takes matters into his own hands by dragging the hospital drug dealer bound and gagged into the furniture shop, demanding to hear everything he knows about Ali.
Fortunately, Ali soon secures some leverage of his own when he gets his hands on Gary's secret ledger, which contains records of his dodgy dealings.
Ali warns Gary that he might tell Maria about his recent work as a loan shark. But with Gary aware of Ali's recent wrongdoing, who really has the upper hand here?
