Coronation Street has hinted that David Platt could finally be released from prison next week.
Shona Ramsey (Julia Goulding) shares the big news after the saga of Josh Tucker's stabbing takes another unexpected twist.
Upcoming episodes see David (Jack P Shepherd) get charged with attempted murder after becoming the prime suspect for Josh's attack. When he's denied bail, it means that he'll be staying behind bars for longer than planned and will miss his booked wedding date.
New spoilers on Coronation Street's official website have now revealed that all hope isn't lost for David.

Early next week, Shona gets annoyed when Gail Rodwell (Helen Worth) reveals that she has taken it upon herself to cancel the wedding, convinced that there's no chance David will be able to make it.
