Coronation Street star Ellie Leach has revealed that she would like to see a bigger storyline for her character Faye Windass.
Ellie, who's been playing Faye on the ITV soap since 2011, explained that she has recently finished college, which means that she has more free time, and would now love to see her character get involved in a bigger storyline.
"I'm not very busy really, just bistro stuff, but not busy with a storyline," she told BANG Showbiz.
When then asked if she has a potential big storyline in the works, Ellie replied: "Nothing I know of but hopefully something will come up soon.
"It's nice to have some time off but then you think I'm bored now, I've just finished college so I don't know what to do with myself."
Viewers will remember that Ellie's character has been involved in some dramatic storylines over the years, including when Faye fell pregnant at the age of 12 and her subsequent struggles with motherhood, as well as her shocking stalking of Eileen (Sue Cleaver) last year.

The soap recently revisited Faye's baby storyline when Amy Barlow fell pregnant, but this isn't the first time the actress has called for a bigger story for her character either.
Explaining that she feels Faye is just too "normal" for her, Ellie told Metro last year: "I feel like I want to go back to [Faye's dark past]. I feel like she's just dead normal now. I want to have a bit of a rebellious stage again."
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
