Coronation Street's Faye Windass hasn't exactly had a squeaky-clean childhood, but actress Ellie Leach is ready for her character to stir things up on the cobbles (again).
Keen to echo Faye's more dramatic storylines – teenage pregnancy and stalking, anyone? – Ellie recently told The Mirror that Faye is just too "normal" for her at the moment.
"I feel like I want to go back to [Faye's dark past]," she explained. "I feel like she's just dead normal now. I want to have a bit of a rebellious stage again."
We're not so sure Tim Metcalfe can cope with another family drama, but hey, we're on board with it.

It turns out Ellie isn't the only Coronation Street star who prefers a bit of doom and gloom in Weatherfield – Lucy Fallon much prefers her grittier scenes, too.
What to Read Next
Lucy, who plays Bethany Platt on the soap, recently said that she prefers to tackle hard-hitting stories, such as the grooming plot, over more light-hearted fare.
"Everyone expects me to say that I want her to have happy storylines but I don't, because the happy storylines aren't as challenging to play," she admitted.
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
