Coronation Street's Ali Neeson could face a career crisis next week, after making a misdiagnosis.

Ali (James Burrows) slips up when he fails to spot that Emma Brooker needs emergency medical attention.

Viewers know that Ali has been struggling with an addiction to diazepam in recent months, which has affected his judgement and his ability to function properly.

Next week, Ali assures his confidante Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) that he's weaning himself off the pills and is now in control of the situation.
