Coronation Street's Maria Connor will make a big mistake next week, arranging a date with bad boy Gary Windass.
Following recent chemistry between the pair, Maria decides to see how things might develop with Gary (Mikey North).
New spoilers on Coronation Street's official website have revealed that Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) is first to spot a potential spark between the two of them when she sees them talking at the café.
Bethany quizzes Maria, who insists that Gary is just a friend. However, Bethany refuses to let it drop and encourages Maria to go for it.

Later in the week, Maria and Gary both attend a Halloween party at Tyrone Dobbs's house.

Samia Longchambon, who plays Maria, recently said: "I think it has trouble written all over it because Gary is a bad lad. Maria doesn't know that though and thinks that they have a lot in common, both being single parents of boys of a similar age.
"They start with a nice friendship and there's a natural progression into a relationship, but Maria definitely doesn't know what she's getting herself into."
