Coronation Street will see things spiral out of control in upcoming episodes as David Platt goes head-to-head with his rapist Josh Tucker in prison.
Next week, David (Jack P Shepherd) will come face-to-face with his rapist Josh when he visits the medical wing at the jail and is horrified to spot Josh (Ryan Clayton) there.
David later learns that Josh is awaiting trial after another male rape, and when he opens up to the other inmates about what Josh did to him they plan a riot, offering David the chance to get revenge – leaving him with a difficult choice to make.
As the riot kicks off and things spiral out of control, David is determined not to do anything that would delay his release – but when he's handed a pair of scissors and is presented with Josh, will David give in and take his revenge?
"They say Josh needs teaching a lesson and in a riot you can get away with anything, there'll be no witnesses and they'll bring Josh to him," actor Jack P Shepherd said of his character's new storyline.
"David finds himself swept up in their plan," he continued. "The thought is certainly there and when he's presented with the scissors I think he's capable of anything."

Ryan Clayton added: "Josh's safety is at risk and he can't play the cards he used to play anymore. But he knows he still can use control over David and he does.
"He is full of bravado but the second he is alone with David you really see how scared and panicked he is."

Meanwhile, news of the riot breaks back on the Street and Shona (Julia Goulding) is left wondering whether David has blown any hope of being released in time for their wedding, while also trying to cope with a confused and disruptive Max.

Coronation Street airs Josh Tucker's return scenes on Friday, October 18, while the prison riot plays out on screen from Monday, October 21.
