Coronation Street's Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) is planning a shock exit after attacking Kel.
The troubled youngster will leave Kel unconscious – following his historic abuse claims –and hurry from the scene.
However, after Gemma spots his bleeding knuckles, Paul lies and tells her that his hand got trapped in the van door; only to later recount that statement and tell Gemma the truth when Kel is found and taken to hospital.

As Gemma begs Bernie not to grass up her own son, Paul confesses to Billy that he has left Kel in a coma and Billy implores Paul to confess to the police and explain how Kel abused him.

However, Paul reveals he can't bear to bring it up and Billy offers him a comforting hug. Meanwhile, Kel wakes up in the hospital and lies to the police himself when questioned about who attacked him, making out he was jumped by strangers.
A furious Bernie then confronts Paul, demanding to know why he attacked Kel. Then, Kel himself is forced to come up with explanation.

Fibbing that Paul's attack was his own fault as he made a homophobic jibe towards Paul, Kel receives an apology from Paul on request from Bernie.
And, once alone, Kel threatens Paul, telling him that if he breathes a word about their 'relationship', he'll grass him up to the police for assault.
Out of options, Paul packs his things and heads to the tram stop with the intention of leaving town. Will Paul really leave? Or, will he stick around?
