Coronation Street villain Kel Hinchley will be rushed to hospital next week after a violent showdown with Paul Foreman.
Kel (Joseph Alessi) will continue his sinister manipulation after Paul lashes out over his traumatic past.
Show bosses are currently exploring a historic sexual abuse storyline, as Paul (Peter Ash) was groomed by his stepfather when he was a child.
Although Paul hasn't yet accepted the upsetting reality of the situation, thinking that their "relationship" was consensual, next week's episodes see him uncover the disturbing truth.

New spoilers on Coronation Street's official website have revealed that Paul confronts Kel over the past, realising with horror that Kel was only attracted to him when he was a young boy.

Struggling to cope, Paul punches Kel and knocks him unconscious, which leaves the evil abuser requiring emergency hospital treatment.
Later, waking up in a bed in A&E, Kel decides not to press charges against Paul – fearful of the truth coming out if the authorities get involved. But could he try to turn Paul's own family against him?

Coronation Street bosses have previously confirmed that Paul's storyline will ultimately explore his desire for justice.
Show producer Iain MacLeod said: "This story sensitively explores something that is tragically all too common in families in the real world, and will highlight the way these painful events still reverberate many years later.
"It will, I hope, allow people who have survived similar abuse and perhaps suffered in silence to find their voice and speak up."
