Coronation Street revealed last night (May 31) that it was Gary Windass who caused the Underworld roof collapse and the subsequent death of Rana Habeeb.
The soap has been teasing the possibility of it being one of many suspects for ages, but this clip gives us such a major clue right off the bat that we wonder how we ever thought it was anyone else.

This clip comes from the episode where the roof was sabotaged back in March and viewers saw a shadowy figure up to no good in the factory before it cut to Rana, and then to Gary who was up bright and early. This means he was the first of the official suspects that viewers saw acting suspiciously after the roof was tampered with, which was a huge giveaway in hindsight.
Never trust anyone who gets up early is our advice.
Now that Gary has been outed as the perpetrator, actor Mikey North has talked about where the character is headed over the next few months.

"Gary's not evil," he said, "he's done a very bad thing and he'll have to live with that for the rest of his life, but is he prepared to go to jail for it?
"Maybe not, and now he's got Rick on his back as well, we'll see Gary come out fighting and I love playing that edge to him. Gary can make very rash decisions and then is forced down a path of no return.
"I don't think Gary has any intention of being caught for a long time yet and he won't go down without a fight, that's for sure. The stakes are high now for Gary and he's got nothing to lose."
Mikey also said that this is the most exciting chapter of Gary's life and, honestly, we're inclined to agree.
