Coronation Street's Gary Windass resorts to conning Mary Taylor next week as he becomes increasingly desperate for cash.
Gary (Mikey North) tricks Mary into handing over her hard-earned cash for unnecessary building work, as he tries to pay off his debt to Rick Neelan as quickly as possible.
Viewers recently discovered that Gary has foolishly taken out a loan from Rick (Greg Wood), who's up to his old tricks by upping the debt with demands for extortionate interest.
Rick has also been threatening Gary's family and wants the builder to start working for him by tricking vulnerable people into taking out loans.
Next week, Gary has to lie to his girlfriend Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) again, as she wants to know what happened to the £9,000 bribe money he accepted from Peter Barlow.
Gary claims that he used the cash to pay his workers, meaning that he's still not out of the woods financially.

Later in the week, Gary lies again after doing a small guttering job for Mary (Patti Clare).
Gary falsely claims that more repair work is needed as a matter of urgency, which leaves Mary so panicked that she immediately hires him to do it.
A tormented Gary is riddled with guilt over scamming his own friends and neighbours, but with the pressure to pay off Rick ASAP, does he have any other choice?
