Thanks to some scheduling shenanigans, Coronation Street aired an hour-long episode on Sunday night (March 24), the soap's first since the tragic Underworld roof collapse that resulted in Rana Habeeb's death.
As the residents of the Cobbles try to process what happened, some are feeling guiltier than others.
Carla Connor, Peter Barlow and Nick Tisley in particular are paranoid, aware that the factory's roof was in poor condition (although viewers know the collapse was on purpose).
Fearing Gary Windass could tell the police and get the trio done for manslaughter, Peter tries to bribe Gary with £10,000 to get him to blame Pat Phelan in his statement to the police.
Some viewers thought the lengths Peter was going to was more than just out of his love for Carla, while others thought he was really crossing the line:
Gary refuses the offer at first, but a later visit from Nick puts more pressure on him. By the end, it seems he has taken the bribe.
