Coronation Street won't be airing again until Sunday (March 24), meaning that fans will have a longer wait to see the aftermath of the Underworld roof collapse.

Wednesday's episodes saw Rana Habeeb, played by Bhavna Limbachia, killed off on her wedding day. Carla Connor (Alison King) also broke down in tears as she feared she was to blame for Rana's tragic death.

While Corrie usually airs on Fridays, international football on ITV that night between England and the Czech Republic means that the show won't be airing in its usual timeslots.

Instead, the next episode will be on Sunday with an hour-long episode starting at 8pm.

Rana's death, which also happened on her wedding day, has been criticised by many viewers for being another harmful example of the 'Bury Your Gays' trope in TV and movies.

Limbachia said that it was her decision for Rana to die, and responded to the backlash on This Morning.

Although Carla thinks that she's at fault, the Underworld roof collapse was actually no accident, and the roof was sabotaged by a mystery person. On Wednesday, David Platt confronted his top suspect Nick Tilsley.

Coronation Street (usually) airs Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 7.30pm and 8.30pm on ITV.
