Former Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell will make her Casualty debut in a guest role.

Campbell played Amelia Spencer on the ITV soap, leaving the Dales behind last December.

Following her departure from the soap, she now will star in an episode of Casualty airing on Saturday.

Digital Spy understands that Campbell will play Georgina, a teen who accompanies her dad to the ED - but having just passed her test, her driving skills leave much to be desired.

Campbell played the role of Amelia continuously between 2011 and 2024, starting when she was seven years old.

Her exit storyline tied into that of Emmerdale's big villain Tom King, who got his comeuppance in a huge trial aired before Christmas last year.

As Amelia got romantically involved with abusive Tom, he manipulated her to side with him against his estranged wife Belle Dingle, who accused him of domestic violence.

After Tom's conviction, Amelia decided to leave the village with her daughter Esther to move in with her biological father Dan and get a fresh start.

"It's mixed emotions, really," Campbell told Digital Spy and other press about bowing out from the soap.

"Amelia is a character that I've always played. This is my first ever job from being 7 years old, so it felt really sad, but then it was also nice to close the door and be at peace."

Casualty airs on Saturday nights on BBC One and now streams first on BBC iPlayer, where episodes are released at 6am on the day of transmission.
