Liam Payne has said that he's been dumped "loads" of times, calling it "the story of my bloody life".
The singer was asked about the cringiest gesture he's ever made for a crush at the Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday (October 21) and he soon opened up about his (apparent lack of a) love life.
"I once sang to a girl at the lockers. I asked her out a record number of times, I asked her out loads and really fancied her," Liam replied to BBC Radio 1 (via the Daily Mail).
"She dumped me. She went out with me because I sang to her and then dumped me the next day. She must have liked the singing because I got through to the next round but got kicked out at bootcamp basically."
Liam then added: "The story of my bloody life if I'm honest, it happens to me loads. It's what seems to happen."
Earlier this year, Liam suffered through another break-up when he and girlfriend Cheryl confirmed that they were splitting after two and a half years together.

"Cheryl and I are sad to announce that we are going our separate ways," he wrote in a statement at the time.
"It's been a tough decision for us to make. We still have so much love for each other as a family. Bear is our world and we ask that you respect his privacy as we navigate our way through this together."
Meanwhile, Liam reunited with his former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson on The X Factor recently when he joined the new judge for the Judges' Houses stage.
He helped Louis narrow down his final six acts to his final four, only for one contestant, Armstrong Martins, to become one of the first acts eliminated from the competition on Sunday night.
