Jennifer Lawrence's psychological drama Die, My Love has unveiled its first trailer.

The movie stars Lawrence as Grace, a new mother who develops postpartum depression after relocating to rural Montana with her husband Jackson (Robert Pattinson).

Grace experiences psychosis as she struggles with the mental health condition. However, Jackson remains completely oblivious to her suffering.

The eventful trailer, posted on YouTube and shown above, sees the couple experiencing various highs and lows as they settle into their new lives. The first scenes depict a happy and playful marriage, but things soon take a dark turn.

As the trailer continues, we see the pair engaging in a fierce argument followed by a shot of a character dragging a weapon through the dark outdoors.

The trailer then reveals a collection of chaotic scenes, including a car almost veering off the road, a knife being menacingly wielded, and a shot of a disheveled-looking Jackson.

Meanwhile, Grace is shown behaving erratically; licking a window, grimacing in pain and dancing wildly at a party.

Adapted from Ariana Harwicz's novel of the same name, Die My Love currently holds a 78% score from 49 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have praised Lawrence's acting, with The Daily Beast branding the performance "astounding".

"No one does bored rage quite like Jennifer Lawrence. Her role in Die, My Love is a delirious showcase: prowling, feral, clawing at the walls," echoed The Telegraph.

"What Lawrence does in Die, My Love is so delicately textured, even within its bold expressiveness, and its fiery anger, that it leaves you scrambling for adjectives," added TIME Magazine.

Die, My Love is released in UK and Ireland on 14 November. In the US, the film is out in cinemas on 7 November.
