Rebooting the franchise after the Timothy Olyphant-led 2007 offering, the new Hitman finds Friend's killer on the run with Katia in a bid to help her find her father and uncover the mystery surrounding her ancestry.
Star Trek's Quinto portrays the villainous International Contracts Agency boss known simply as John Smith, while Thomas Kretschmann and Ciarán Hinds are among the supporting cast.
Catch Hitman: Agent 47 in US cinemas from August 21 and August 27 in the UK.
