Florence Pugh has been spotted on set with Andy Samberg, teasing a potential role in his new movie. The Brooklyn Nine-Nine actor is appearing in 42.6 Years, playing a man called Ben who is cryogenically frozen for the titular time period after an experimental procedure.

However, when he tries to reconnect with his former girlfriend Ruthie (played by Annette Bening), Ben sees that she has lived a whole life without him, while he hasn't aged a day.

While she hasn't been confirmed at all for the cast, Pugh has been seen filming alongside Samberg in New York City's Central Park this week, including sharing a bicycle ride.

42.6 Years is based on a story by Samberg and Seth Reiss – the latter writing the screenplay – while The Peanut Butter Falcon's Michael Schwartz directs. Hacks' Jean Smart was originally set to play Ruthie, before being replaced by Bening.

Pugh has a busy 2026 coming up, with returning roles in Avengers: Doomsday and Dune: Part Three as Yelena Belova and Princess Irulan, respectively, while she is also set to appear in a Netflix series adaptation of East of Eden.

Last month, she also signed on to appear in The Midnight Library, a movie adaptation of Matt Haig's bestselling novel. The story follows a woman who finds herself in a mystical library and sees alternative versions of her life.

Meanwhile, last year Pugh revealed the one movie she regrets having made – 2018 Netflix horror Malevolent.

"It's probably the one movie that I wish I never did. I think everybody has one of those movies," she explained to Louis Theroux on his podcast.

"I think it was just a movie that I did when I was younger, and I needed money," the star added. "And I was like, well, obviously this is great. And then I got there and it wasn't great."
