A cosy crime mystery film hailed as "endlessly charming" has topped the Prime Video charts just days after being added to the streaming service. Based on Leonie Swann's 2005 novel Three Bags Full, The Sheep Detectives begins with shepherd George (Hugh Jackman) being found dead.
George's sheep have been fed a nightly diet of murder mystery novels by their beloved shepherd, and so – while George's death is investigated by a local bumbling police officer – they take matters into their own hooves to find the killer.
The star-studded cast includes the likes of Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, and Emma Thompson, as well as the voices of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O'Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, and Brett Goldstein.
