Michael Sheen may be recognised for his roles in The Queen and Good Omens, but one of the actor's lesser-known works, the "tension-packed" Unthinkable, is leaving a UK streamer in the coming days.

The film sees the Welsh actor portray Steven Younger, a former Delta Force operator who is arrested on charges of terrorism. In recent hours, the figure, now calling himself Yusuf Mohamed, filmed a video where he said he had planted three bombs.

Agent Helen Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss) and the mysterious H (Samuel L Jackson) are called in to interrogate Steven, with the latter deploying increasingly brutal forms of torture to get information to protect the nation.

Directed by Gregor Jordan from a screenplay by Peter Woodward, the thriller is currently available to stream in the UK on Prime Video, but you'll have to hurry as it is due to be removed on 21 June.

Though not widely reviewed by critics upon its release in 2010, the political thriller has been lauded by viewers, with IMDb currently reporting a solid user rating of 7.0/10 from 101,000 logs.

"Unthinkable is a pretty interesting single-location thriller," wrote one user as they called it "tension-packed", adding: "There are some hard-hitting torture sequences which I didn't see coming, and an against-the-clock climax which ratchets up the tension no end."

One viewer dubbed it the "toughest, least compromising" film that they had "ever seen", adding: "The issues it raises both personally and politically for our country today are terrible and complex. Jackson, Sheen and Moss have never been better."

"It is well worth watching if you are serious about films. But it very strong stuff that poses some serious questions," noted another viewer, while a fourth user branded it an "excellent" depiction of a "what-if" situation.

Another user was also full of praise, writing: "This film is great simply because it makes the viewer ask themselves important and tough questions. If you are an open minded person, Unthinkable makes you think about things you definitely should ponder."

Elsewhere on Prime Video, the streamer also has Callum Turner's stripped-down horror-thriller Green Room, while Pedro Pascal's comedy-drama The Uninvited was added last month.

Unthinkable is streaming on Prime Video until 21 June.
