Jodie Comer is keeping busy with upcoming movies The Death of Robin Hood and Stuffed, as well as her first TV role in five years with The Chain. But while we wait to see those, we've got just the movie for you this Bank Holiday weekend if you want to see Comer at her best.
Survival drama The End We Start From was released in January 2024 and is set after an environmental crisis sees London submerged by flood waters. The crisis tears a young family apart, leaving a woman (Comer) trying to find a way home with her newborn son as she comes to terms with her new motherhood.
Talking to Digital Spy for its cinema release, Comer revealed it was working with director Mahalia Belo that got her "immediately excited" for the movie. "I was really moved by the story and wanted to meet Mahalia as soon as possible and hear from her what it was that she was envisioning," she added.
And if you're looking for a movie to watch this weekend, you can share in Comer's excitement by watching The End We Start From. We've got all the details on who else is in it, and how to watch.

What to Read Next
We said that Comer was "flawless" in the lead role, something echoed by the other reviews with Empire saying: "Prettily shot and with moments of emotional power thanks to Jodie Comer's performance, The End We Start From is involving and unpredictable."
The Post NZ called it a "nightmarish and brilliant near-future-set British drama", with Financial Times adding: "The result is the kind of film the UK rarely makes anymore: a clever, propulsive picture with enough mainstream oomph for multiplexes."
"It's nourishing, frequently moving, and ends with heroic understatement, where a cruder film would have gone all out for the heartstrings," praised the Daily Telegraph.
