Guy Ritchie has assembled quite the stacked cast for his next movie Wife & Dog, including Rosamund Pike, Benedict Cumberbatch, Anthony Hopkins, Paddy Considine and Cosmo Jarvis. Interestingly, there's no Jason Statham or Tom Hardy, but it turns out that Cumberbatch will be taking on that role!
We don't really know much about the plot yet, except that it will take place in the "colourful, back-stabbing world of the British aristocracy" and be similar in tone to The Gentlemen, the film that turned into a Netflix series.
Speaking to Collider, Cumberbatch stated that the film is reminiscent of previous works, but elevated to create something new for the filmmaker.
"There are definitely elements to his genre, but I don't know. I think he's kind of augmented it with a really new flavour," he said.
"I don't really want to give much away, but it's quite unique for him. It's quite unique. It's a very soulful piece.

"And yeah, an extraordinary cast that I got to work with, and a very different ask for me to be the kind of geezer Tom Hardy, Jason Statham type role. It was a blast.
"I mean, I love him. He's very uncompromising, very who he is. It's just very straightforward working with him. You know where you are. He's a lovely fellow. He’s great."
Ritchie has plenty of upcoming projects in the pipeline, including new seasons of MobLand and The Gentlemen, as well as the film In the Grey and the project Viva la Madness.

Meanwhile, Cumberbatch's new film The Thing with Feathers has just released.
It focuses on a man who loses his grip on sanity following the death of his wife, and starts seeing a crow-like creature.
Reviews have been mixed, with plenty of them praising Cumberbatch's performance but stating that the film around it isn't that strong.
Wife & Dog does not currently have an announced release date.
