James Norton has joined the all-star cast for Wife & Dog, the new film from director Guy Ritchie.
The star, known for his roles in Happy Valley and The Trial of Christine Keeler, is the latest big name to join the project, which sees the filmmaker "return to the colourful, back-stabbing world of the British aristocracy."
As per Screen Daily, Norton will be joined by Cosmo Jarvis, Paddy Considine and Pip Torrens, with the quartet set to appear alongside the previously announced Benedict Cumberbatch, Rosamund Pike and Anthony Hopkins.

Ritchie, who recently directed Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, The Covenant and The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, will pen the screenplay in addition to directing, with long-time collaborator Ivan Atkinson serving as a producer.
Specific plot details have been kept under wraps, though the tone has been likened to that of The Gentleman, the 2019 film which was adapted into a television series by Netflix. Production for Wife & Dog reportedly got under way today (February 3), though the film has no release date.

The filmmaker's other upcoming projects include the heist-adventure Fountain of Youth – which features John Krasinki and Natalie Portman – and In the Grey, an action-thriller starring Henry Cavill, Jake Gyllenhaal and Eiza González.
Norton, who has also appeared in McMafia and The Nevers, recently fronted the ITV drama Playing Nice, which focused on two couples after they discovered that their babies were switched at birth.

"That was the hook which we were so excited about," said Norton of the central premise. "When we first read the book [by JP Delaney], there was this amazing question – 'If you found out your child was not your own, how would you react?'
"Every time we mention the hook to anyone, they mention the idea of children being swapped. And it happens weird amounts, so it's not that far-fetched, unfortunately," added the star, who played Pete Riley in the four-part drama.
Wife & Dog has no release date.
