Sheridan Smith's unexpected new movie Girl Group has received a "fabulous" first look, as filming officially wraps. The upcoming project will bring together some iconic pop divas from the '90s and early '00s, whose characters embark on an eagerly-awaited reunion tour.

The girl group is made up of Smith, Rebel Wilson, The Pussycat Dolls' Ashley Roberts, Mel C from the Spice Girls and Shaznay Lewis of All Saints. The plot will focus on Wilson's character, who is unceremoniously kicked out of the tour by her fellow bandmates.

After being "slapped with a sentence of court-ordered community service", the outcast "seizes the chance to stage a comeback by coaching a group of misfit teen girls for a major record label audition".

However, when her unyielding ambition goes too far, she is forced "to confront the toxic industry that made her – and the self-destruction she can't escape".

Taking to Instagram, Wilson shared a first look at the cast in their glitzy pop costumes as they celebrated a wrap on filming. The video saw the girl group members taking part in a viral trend - lip-syncing to a remix of Nicki Minaj's 'Beez in the Trap' and 'What's Up' by 4 Non Blondes.
