Dragonfly, the gripping new British drama starring Brenda Blethyn and Jason Watkins, has confirmed its UK release date - and fans don't have to wait too long.
The film, from writer-director Paul Andrew Williams, sees the Vera star play Elsie, an elderly woman who lives next door to Colleen (Andrea Riseborough). After Colleen notices that her neighbour is being neglected by her carers, the pair strike up a bond.
Such is their kinship, Colleen offers to become Elsie's full-time carer, though Elsie's son, John (Watkins), doesn't approve of the idea. As the trio have a tense meeting, John begins to suspect that Colleen is harbouring ulterior motives.
Following its world premiere at the 24th Tribeca Festival in June and its British debut at the 78th Edinburgh International Film Festival in August, many fans have been wondering when Dragonfly will hit the big screen - and we now have the answer.
The highly-anticipated drama will be released in UK cinemas on Friday 7 November, meaning audiences have just seven weeks to wait!

Billed as a "heartbreaking" and "tense" tale about "forgotten people", Dragonfly has garnered acclaim from critics following its premiere, with its approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes currently standing at 93% from 15 reviews.
In Digital Spy's review of the film, we wrote: "Dragonfly is a powerful and compelling drama that explores those that society shuns, building to an ending you won't forget… Key to its success are the flawless performances from Blethyn and her co-lead Riseborough."
"It's the strength of the lead performances that make it work, culminating in a haunting final shot that's a devastating capper to the themes Williams explores," we added as we called the climax "intense and gripping".

Screen International was also full of praise, writing: "The latest from Paul Andrew Williams will not be for everyone, but it is a chokingly tense commentary on the precarious nature of community."
"[This] film is a haunted, social-realist drama with elements of Mike Leigh but also moments of thriller and even horror," opined The Guardian, who called it "stark, fierce [and] wonderfully acted".
Dragonfly will be released in cinemas on 7 November.
