Dame Maggie Smith simply won't leave poor Alan Bennett alone in the zany trailer for The Lady in the Van.

This movie adaptation of Bennett's award-winning play tells the impossibly true story of an elderly woman who lived in his driveway for 15 years.

Bennett is played here by The Queen's Alex Jennings, while Smith reprises her Olivier Award-nominated stage role as Miss Mary Shepherd.

Bennett adapted his own play for the big screen, with The Madness of King George's Sir Nicholas Hytner directing.

The comedy also features the cream of the crop of British acting, including James Corden, Jim Broadbent, Frances de la Tour and Dominic Cooper.

Bennett's original play took the West End by storm in 1999, earning an Olivier nomination for Play of the Year.

The Lady in the Van bows on November 13 in the UK.
