Jesse Eisenberg has revealed that there's a twist in the upcoming Now You See Me: Now You Don't that even he struggled to understand at first.
The third film in the popular magic saga, which is coming to cinemas in November, sees Eisenberg returning alongside Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Isla Fisher as the Four Horsemen magicians, and apparently they have a big trick up their sleeve.
"There is a genuinely brilliant, incredibly effective twist in the movie," Eisenberg teased during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.
"I don't want to give away anything," he continued, "but the twist happens because of some really great acting. It will blow your mind. Apparently people go nuts for the ending in test screenings, but I am like an idiot when it comes to plot."
The actor revealed that director Ruben Fleischer had to explain the scene to him before filming. "God, audiences must be really, really sharp, or I am an idiot. I read the script three times, and I was totally wrong. People not only understand it but love it," he said.

Over a decade after the release of Now You See Me in 2013, and following the 2016 sequel Now You See Me 2, the new movie brings the gang back together for a new heist.
Eisenberg reprises his role as J Daniel Atlas as he recruits new illusionists (played by newcomers Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa and Ariana Greenblatt) to steal the most valuable jewel in history from the wealthy Vanderberg family. As the plan gets complicated, Atlas' old team will re-emerge to help out.
Mark Ruffalo and Morgan Freeman are reprising his roles as Dylan Rhodes and Thaddeus Bradley, respectively, while Rosamund Pike joins the franchise as the Vanderberg heir for this new movie.

"When we heard they were doing a third one, we all jumped at it," Eisenberg told EW, teasing "some great surprise appearances".
"I'll put it this way. The surprise appearances in the movie are just as much fun as they are surprising. These are not boring appearances. It's the best kind of shock because it's a surprise but also done in such an unusual way."
Now You See Me 3 will be released in US and UK cinemas on 14 November 2025.
