Children of Men, the star-studded thriller lauded as a "masterpiece" by the Seattle Times, has landed on BBC iPlayer.
Directed by Alfonso Cuarón, the film, which recently aired on BBC Two, stars Clive Owen, Julianne Moore, Michael Caine, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Clare-Hope Ashitey and Charlie Hunnam.
Based on P. D. James' 1992 novel of the same name, the dystopian thriller is set in 2027. Following 18 years of widespread infertility, not to mention an ongoing war, global depression and the imminent threat of extinction, a former activist (Owen) is tasked with transporting a miraculously pregnant woman named Kee (Ashitey) to safety.
Currently, Children of Men is rated Certified Fresh with a score of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes.
"Cuarón relies on his ample visual style, and he has indeed created a film you cannot tear your eyes away from," raved the New York Daily News.

"This is as real and as provocative as the future gets on screen," remarked Time Out.
"Children of Men, Alfonso Cuarón's dense, dark, and layered meditation on fertility, technology, immigration, war, love, and life itself may be the movie of the still-young millennium," wrote Slate Magazine.
Owen, who famously portrays Theo Faron in the movie, has spoken about its enduring success. In an interview with Collider, the actor said: "Children of Men, I think, was reviewed great, but didn't necessarily make a big financial splash at the time, but over time it's probably still the one film in my career that people keep bringing up as one of their favourites of the last however many years.

"He's a visionary director, Alfonso," Owen continued. "He's gone on to make stunning movies after that."
Cuarón, who has since directed Gravity (2013) and Roma (2018), was equally impressed by Owen's work on the film. Explaining why the actor was the right person to play Theo, he told Vulture: "You know, the moment you talk to Clive, there's a saltiness to the guy."
"Listen, he can be aloof as hell. Then, this warm kind of thing. I immediately dug the guy. I really liked him," Cuarón added.
Children of Men is now available to stream on BBC iPlayer.
