Ron Howard's period drama A Beautiful Mind has landed a new streaming home in the UK.
Based on a true story, A Beautiful Mind stars Russell Crowe as mathematician John Nash, who finds himself on a painful journey of self discovery.
Per the synopsis, Nash is "on the brink of international acclaim when he becomes entangled in a conspiracy. Now only his devoted wife can help him in this powerful story of courage and triumph."
Originally released in 2001, the film – which won Best Picture at the Academy Awards – was added to Prime Video on 9 June where you can stream it now.

Joining Crowe in the stellar cast are stars including Ed Harris, Jennifer Connelly, Paul Bettany, Adam Goldberg, Judd Hirsch, Josh Lucas, Anthony Rapp, Christopher Plummer and more.

Described as "phenomenal", the Doug Liman-directed film was a hit among critics, and it currently has a respectable score of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes from 214 reviews.
About.com said: "Director Ron Howard has created a moving masterpiece, elegantly guiding the audience through John Forbes Nash Jr.'s life."
Empire Magazine called the film "gripping", saying: "If this were fiction, it would be an example of superior storytelling, and it's certainly gripping."

Entertainment Weekly said: "Russell Crowe sometimes summons up one of the most powerful depictions of mental illness I have ever seen with barely an eyelid flicker separating manifestations of sickness from utterly sane displays of creative concentration."
Not everyone shared the same enthusiasm about the film, with The Evening Standard writing: "A Beautiful Mind is not an insult to the intelligence, not quite. But it makes every effort to celebrate that uncommon faculty and at the same time play it down to the lowest common level.
