Sherlock Holmes returns to the big screen this week with Ian McKellen taking on the role of the famed Baker Street sleuth. Don't expect deerstalkers or pipes, though - the Sherlock in Mr Holmes (now in his 90s) debunks all that claiming they were fabrications from Doctor Watson.

Mr Holmes opens in UK cinemas on June 19 and July 17 in the US.
