As we wait for Cillian Murphy to return to our screens as Tommy Shelby in the Peaky Blinders movie, we've got just the movie for any fans out there this Bank Holiday weekend in the UK.

Back in 2011, Murphy starred in British thriller Retreat alongside Thandiwe Newton and Jamie Bell. We don't blame you if you've never heard of it as it only received a limited theatrical release in the UK.

The movie sees unhappy couple Martin (Murphy) and Kate (Newton) visit a remote uninhabited Scottish island in an effort to rekindle their marriage.

A few days into their trip, Kate comes across a bloodied soldier (Bell) who tells them a deadly airborne virus has spread over the world. But is he telling the truth, or is something else going on?

If you want to find out, Retreat airs tonight at 00.25am on BBC One, so in the early hours of Sunday morning.

We get it if that's too late for a movie viewing, even on a Bank Holiday weekend. Don't worry though as Retreat will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer shortly after its broadcast tonight so you can catch up any time.

If you just can't wait to see the thriller though, you can also watch Retreat right now on Netflix if you're a subscriber.

Retreat only has a 62% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, but The Guardian praised it as "a neat, tense thriller", something echoed by ViewLondon ("intriguingly twisty and frequently tense") and Total Film ("tense if rather monotonously bleak").

If you want another dose of Murphy this Bank Holiday weekend, his "powerful" Irish drama Small Things Like These was recently added to Prime Video in the UK and Ireland.

Retreat airs tonight at 00.25am on BBC One, and will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer shortly after broadcast.
