Stephen King's dystopia The Long Walk is coming to cinemas — and the first trailer is guaranteed to send chills down your spine.
Releasing this September, the movie from Hunger Games sequels director Francis Lawrence is based off King's early novel of the same name.
The newly released trailer stars Cooper Hoffman of Licorice Pizza fame as protagonist Raymond Garraty, embarking on the titular journey with other young men.
But this is no walk in the park, as the boys are closely watched by cameras and soldiers ready to shoot them dead if they were to stop.
Three warnings and you're out, as Curley, played by JoJo Rabbit star Roman Griffin Davis, learns the hard way in the clip above.

The gang also includes Alien: Romulus star David Jonsson, Charlie Plummer, and Ben Wang, while Star Wars star Mark Hamill plays the terrifying Major and Judy Greer stars as Raymond's mum.
Like the novel, the "intense, chilling, and emotional" thriller from Strange Darling screenwriter JT Mollner is set in the near future where America has become a police state.
Every year, one hundred boys are selected to compete in a race with no destination. The last man standing gets the prize of a lifetime, while all others meet a cruel fate.

Published in 1979 under the pseudonym Richard Bachman, The Long Walk got close to being adapted for the screen a few times before.
Night of the Living Dead legend George Romero, The Walking Dead showrunner and director of multiple King adaptations Frank Darabont, and filmmaker André Øvredal were all attached to direct at different points in time but none of the projects came to fruition.
"I think maybe what held it back in those other adaptations is that merciless quality," King told Vanity Fair in a recent interview.
"Somebody putting down the money for it must've been, like, 'I don't know…this is hard. This is a painful one.'"
The Long Walk is released in cinemas on 12 September.
