John Cena's Looney Tunes movie Coyote vs. Acme is finally getting a worldwide release following its cancellation.
It was announced in late 2023 that the animation/live-action hybrid was being indefinitely shelved by Warner Bros as the studio kickstarted a new global release strategy, despite being rolled out to test audiences after production wrapped in 2022.
However, Ketchup Entertainment has now officially acquired the worldwide rights to the film and will release it in cinemas, though a release date hasn't been confirmed yet (via The Hollywood Reporter).
"We're thrilled to have made a deal with Warner Bros. Pictures to bring this film to audiences worldwide," said Gareth West, CEO of Ketchup Entertainment.
"Coyote vs. Acme is a perfect blend of nostalgia and modern storytelling, capturing the essence of the beloved Looney Tunes characters while introducing them to a new generation. We believe it will resonate with both longtime fans and newcomers alike."

Based on The New Yorker's 1990 humour article of the same name, Coyote vs. Acme follows Wile E Coyote as he hires a billboard lawyer (Will Forte) to sue Acme Corporation after their products fail to help in his pursuit of arch-nemesis Road Runner.
Coyote and his lawyer face off against the lawyer's intimidating former boss (Cena) as their determination to win grows. To All the Boys I Loved Before actor Lana Condor and Tone Bell also star.
The movie is directed by Dave Green and written by May December scribe Samy Burch, while Christopher DeFaria and DC Studio's co-CEO James Gunn produce.

Following the film's initial cancellation, Forte shared an open letter to the cast and crew on social media after he had the opportunity to watch it.
"When I first heard that our movie was getting 'deleted', I hadn't seen it yet," he wrote. "So I was thinking what everyone else must have been thinking: this thing must be a hunk of junk. But then I saw it. And it's incredible.
"Super funny throughout, visually stunning, sweet, sincere, and emotionally resonant in a very earned way. As the credits rolled, I just sat there thinking how lucky I was to be a part of something so special. That quickly turned to confusion and frustration. This was the movie they're not going to release?"
Coyote vs. Acme doesn't have a release date yet.
