Clown in a Cornfield, this year's must-see slasher movie based on the 2020 novel by Adam Cesare, has received a creepy new trailer from RLJE Films and Shudder.
Released in cinemas in the UK and US on May 9, the horror film has received strong first reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 92% score from 25 reviews.
The film follows Quinn and her father, who, per the synopsis, "have just moved to the quiet town of Kettle Springs hoping for a fresh start. Instead, she [Quinn] discovers a fractured community that has fallen on hard times after the treasured Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burned down.
"As the locals bicker amongst themselves and tensions boil over, a sinister, grinning figure emerges from the cornfields to cleanse the town of its burdens, one bloody victim at a time. Welcome to Kettle Springs. The real fun starts when Frendo the clown comes out to play."
Directed by Eli Craig, the horror stars Katie Douglas as Quinn and Aaron Abrams as her father Dr Maybrook. Joining them in the cast are Carson MacCormac, Verity Marks and Cassandra Potenza.
