Dwayne Johnson has suggested that Black Adam could be included in upcoming Justice League movies.
The actor will play the long-time DC Comics anti-hero in 2019's Shazam, which will be written by Jack the Giant Slayer's Darren Lemke.
During a recent interview with IGN, Johnson was asked if his long-term hopes are for Black Adam to turn from villain to hero as a member of the Justice League.
"I think you always want to leave that creatively open, that he could join the Justice League," Johnson answered.
He went on to say: "That's the fun part of creating this character right now and everybody involved, from the studio, from New Line, to Warner Bros as well, to the writer, our producing partners... You definitely want to engage in his heroic side, but that has to be earned and with the mythology of Black Adam starting off as a slave, because when you start off as a slave, just inherently, there's things in your DNA that piss you off.
"And that's the bottom line, so I think we have to respect and pay homage to the true mythology and then the heroic side will come down the line."

No announcement has come yet as to who will play the title role in Shazam.
Johnson has long been linked to the project, teasing last year that his version of Black Adam will have a "wonderful charm".
Shazam opens on April 5, 2019, although Johnson hinted last month that it could be bumped up in DC's schedule.
It is currently scheduled for release directly before the second Justice League movie on June 14, 2019.
