Heartstopper actor Kit Connor's new movie Warfare has confirmed its release date.

Co-directed by Ray Mendoza and Civil War's Alex Garland, the film has a solid cast that includes The Bear's Will Poulter, To All the Boys' Noah Centineo, and Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn, to name just a few.

In the US, the film will be released on April 11 by A24. This follows how Civil War released in the second weekend of April 2024 and became the studio's second-biggest film at the box office.

A UK release date hasn't been confirmed at the current time. Civil War released the same time here as in America, so there is a chance Warfare could follow suit.

The story is adapted from Mendoza's own memories of his time serving in the Iraq invasion, with the trailer letting viewers know that they are in for a tense time.

What to Read Next

The official synopsis reads: "Warfare embeds audiences with a platoon of American Navy SEALs in the home of an Iraqi family, overwatching the movement of US forces through insurgent territory.

"A visceral, boots-on-the-ground story of modern warfare, told like never before: in real time and based on the memory of the people who lived it."

If you haven't seen Civil War yet, it's recently become available for Prime Video subscribers.

Starring Kirsten Dunst, the film has received strong reviews, with Digital Spy saying: "True to his writing style, Garland strips everything down to its essence, avoiding an overpacked story, delivering memorable images and exploring crucial concepts."

Warfare will be released on April 11 in US cinemas. A UK and Ireland release date has yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.
