The Wild Robot is one of the best movies of the year, and we have an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip to mark its digital release in the UK.

The critically-acclaimed animation is still out in cinemas if you prefer the big-screen experience, but you can now also buy or rent The Wild Robot right now from Prime Video, iTunes, Microsoft Store and other digital retailers.

Heartstopper star Kit Connor voices Brightbill in the movie, an orphaned goose who becomes the adopted son of service robot Roz (Lupita Nyong'o).

In the exclusive clip, which you can watch above, Connor praised the cast of the movie, which also includes Bill Nighy as wise elderly goose Longneck and Mark Hamill as grizzly bear Thorn.

"Brightbill kind of teaches Roz kindness and love. Their relationship is obviously mother and son. It's exploring how Roz finds a bit of a family on this island and Brightbill quickly becomes her purpose," Connor noted.

What to Read Next

"I'm really getting major, major imposter syndrome because the cast is so, so good."

Nighy added: "It's always humbling when you come at the beginning of an animation and you do some of the voices, and then you come back and they've animated stuff.

"The background is impressionistic, but then the creatures are very, very defined. It's a killer combination."
