The first trailer for new drama Warfare, starring Heartstopper's Kit Connor and Stranger Things' Joseph Quinn, has been released.
Written and directed by Ray Mendoza and Alex Garland, the film explores the story behind the United States's invasion of Iraq in 2006. Iraq War veteran Mendoza has recounted the story from memory.
The upcoming blockbuster marks the second collaboration for the duo. Mendoza notably served as the military supervisor for Garland's latest film Civil War, which was released earlier this year.
Warfare will premiere in the US in 2025. A UK release date has yet to be announced.

The tense trailer sees a group of US soldiers scoping out two targets on a rooftop with a sniper rifle.
"We might have guys starting to move on our position," notes one of the soldiers, before his colleague reveals: "We're getting a build-up of activity here too. I definitely see weapons at this point."

As the "massing" increases, bullets begin to fly as the young troops exchange fire with the terrorists. Bombs soon erupt around them, before Quinn's character is shot.
A medical evacuation is then requested to help the "severely wounded" soldier, who starts to panic, asking: "Who's severely wounded?"
The action continues to escalate on the ground, with the soldiers frantically coming up with a plan to successfully complete their mission.
As well as Connor and Quinn, Warfare also stars Will Poulter, Charles Melton, D'Pharaoh Woon-A-Tai, Cosmo Jarvis, Finn Bennett, Taylor John Smith and Noah Centineo.
