Peter Dinklage will star in The Thicket.
The Game of Thrones actor has been cast in the adaptation of Joe R Lansdale's 2013 best seller.
Set in the early 20th century, the film centres around a naive young man who sets out to rescue his kidnapped sister from a murderous gang.
He enlists the help of a crafty bounty hunter (Dinklage), a grave-digging alcoholic son of an ex-slave and a street-smart prostitute to help him on his quest into the lawless no man's land called The Big Thicket.
The film will be produced by Hollywood Gang - the new company set up by Dinklage, his long term manager David Ginsberg and Gianni Nunnari - as well as Shannon Gaulding.
Dinklage will next be seen in Pixels.
The Thicket is yet to announce its director.
