While German expo gamescom officially doesn't start until tomorrow (August 5), Xbox will kick off the week with a press conference showing its games for the coming year and beyond.

What can we expect? Long-awaited sequel Crackdown 3, Alan Wake spiritual successor Quantum Break and Platinum Games' Scalebound are all confirmed, so look out for first in-depth looks and new details of all three.

We should also see showcases of Xbox's big hitters coming this year - such as Halo 5: Guardians and Rise of the Tomb Raider - and with Sony out of the running this year and the Xbox One gaining sales momentum, maybe we'll see one or two surprises in a bid to capture Christmas.

15:52Interesting development, Mojang's Cobalt coming to Xbox One in October. It's a fun multiplayer with a "cosmic campaign", snow levels, space hamsters and lots of other features that flashed up on the screen all too quickly.

15:37Koji Igarashi is now on stage talking about Kickstarter success story Bloodstained. It'll get crossplay on Xbox One and Windows 10 and features a brand new character.
