Ex-Lionhead developers are taking to Kickstarter to try fund a new card game based around the much-loved Fable universe.
This follows the recent closure of the studio and the cancellation of the multiplayer-focused Fable Legends.
"After much consideration we have decided to cease development on Fable Legends, and are in discussions with employees about the proposed closure of Lionhead Studios in the UK," came the statement from Hanno Lemke, General Manager at Microsoft Studios Europe, at the time.
As reported by IGN, Lionhead was working on a free-to-play card game called Fable Fortunes, which was planned to release early 2017.
With the blessing of Microsoft, ex-Lionhead veterans Craig Oman, Mike West and Marcus Lynn have set up Flaming Fowl Studios and are taking to the popular crowd funding platform to try and finish the project.
The team are asking for quite a bit, with them hoping to secure £250,000 within four weeks.

Fable Fortunes will be similar to Blizzard's popular card game Hearthstone, but Flaming Fowl aims to add a few twists of its own - with a fully 3D art style, a co-op mode, and a levelling system for cards you use often.
The Kickstarter begins today at 3pm BST.
