Agent Carter has been axed, and Peggy (finally) passed away during the events of Captain America: Civil War. But does that mean we've seen the last of Hayley Atwell in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Maybe not. She could yet play a part in Agents of SHIELD if the story allows for it.
"She is the founder of SHIELD, and once an agent, always an agent," Agents of SHIELD showrunner Jed Whedon told The Hollywood Reporter. "There is, of course, that possibility.
"The great thing about the Marvel comics and the Marvel universe in general is that nothing is really off the table. Coulson is living proof of it.
"So yes, of course there is that possibility."
There is currently a Change.org petition, demanding that Agent Carter continue on Netflix. At the time of posting, it has more than 87,000 signatures.
Agent Carter also topped Digital Spy's poll asking which axed ABC series viewers will miss the most.
