The Pitt, the prestige medical drama starring ER's Noah Wyle, has received a big update after announcing four new cast members for its second season. The critically-acclaimed show will see Luke Tennie, Travis Van Winkle, Meta Golding and Christopher Thornton join the cast for season two.

According to Variety, Abbott Elementary star Tennie is on board to play a fourth- year resident named Dr Crus Henderson, while You actor Van Winkle will play an aggressive patient named Curtis Larson.
Ransom Canyon star Golding is on board to play nurse Noelle Hastings, and The Lincoln Lawyer's Thornton will star as Dr Caleb Jefferson, a psychiatric attending physician.
Returning to the cast for season two alongside Wyle are Patrick Ball, Fiona Dourif, Taylor Dearden, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh, Isa Briones, Gerran Howell, Shawn Hatosy and Shabana Azeez.

Where can I watch The Pitt in the UK?
Despite a second season of the hit show coming in January, the UK is yet to see a release of the show's first season.
While we don't yet have a confirmed UK release, we can speculate that it will likely drop this side of the pond when we get the highly-anticipated launch of HBO Max in the UK and Ireland.
Set to launch in March 2026, the new HBO Max platform will see the streaming service arrive in the UK with some of the world's biggest shows, with Radio Times suggesting this could include The Pitt.
The move will mark the first time HBO content will be available for UK viewers somewhere other than Sky and will likely feature popular dramas from HBO Max, including It: Welcome to Derry, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, The White Lotus, and Euphoria.
The Pitt is available to stream on Max in the United States. It is not currently available to stream in the UK.
