Hacks has been renewed for a fifth season at Max.
The news announced on the streaming platform's official Instagram page ahead of season four's finale airing tomorrow, with the account sharing videos of the show's leading stars, Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder, reacting to the news.
"I'm so excited Hacks just got officially picked up for season five," said Smart, who stars in the series as comedian Deborah Vance.
"I'm thrilled. Congratulations to my cast, everybody in the production and, to all of our Hacks fans out there, please join us again for season five. Yay!"
Hannah Einbinder, who plays Ava Daniels, added: "It's official. We're coming back for season five, baby! Don't worry, I will continue to pitch the lesbian arc."

Hacks centres on Smart's legendary comedian Deborah, who hires a young unemployed writer named Ava Daniels to help liven up her material after she's told she could risk losing her casino residency.
The series has gained critical acclaim across its run, with seasons one and two boasting perfect 100% scores on Rotten Tomatoes, while seasons three and four hold solid scores of 98% and 97%, respectively.
Critics have described the show as "truly irresistible", "hilarious" and "genre-defying", with particular praise for Smart and Einbinder's performances.

Season four sees tensions rise between Deborah and Ava as they try get Deborah's new late night show off the ground.
The season added several new faces to its cast, including Boardwalk Empire's Julianne Nicholson, The Dropout's Michaela Watkins, Six Feet Under's Eric Balfour, Bresha Webb and Robby Hoffman.
Hacks seasons 1-2 are available to stream on Prime Video in the UK, while seasons 1-4 are available on Sky and NOW. In the US, the show streams on Max.
