Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Seth Green has spoken out about the hit show's upcoming revival and the possibility of an appearance.
It was confirmed earlier this month that the beloved series, which originally aired from 1997 to 2003, will officially return with Sarah Michelle Gellar back in the iconic role of Buffy Summers.
Green, who played werewolf musician Daniel 'Oz' Osbourne on the original series, has now addressed the news and whether he would be up for returning.

"I love that character, and if there was more story to tell, I’d be there to tell it," he shared during a new interview with ComicBook.
The actor also commented on the involvement of Gellar, who will appear in the revival as a recurring part rather than series lead.

"The upside of having Sarah involved so intimately with that revival is that she’s incredibly protective, not just with the quality of the work but the way people feel about it," he said.

James Marsters, who played British punk vampire Spike on the original series, also recently spoke out about the revival, though he didn't confirm whether he'll be making an appearance and made it clear he couldn't say too much "in the best interest of having the project be the best it can be".
"I think I'm like everybody, I'm very excited that we're going to learn more about the journey of Buffy Summers and how she saves the world because I think the world needs it," he said. "So I'm going to do my part by doing nothing."
Following the revival's announcement, Gellar shared an emotional statement saying that a show return would be for "all the fans".
"This has been a long process, and it’s not over yet," she said. "I promise you, we will only make this show if we know we can do it right. And I will tell you that we are on the path there."
Buffy the Vampire Slayer can be streamed in full on Disney+.
